Concept

The Journal for Human Rights is a interdisciplinary journal on human rights and human rights policy. It introduces current and systematic human rights issues to analysis and reflection from the perspectives of political science, history, and law, as well as philosophy, sociology, and educational theory.

Content

First and foremost, The Journal for Human Rights tends to an audience in German-speaking countries that deals with human rights in the academic and non-academic education sector as well as in politics, economy and society; an audience interested in receiving sound scientific expert opinion on the topic.

Content

The Journal for Human Rights presents: theoretical and empirical contributions that convey scientific findings on topics relevant to human rights from different disciplinary perspectives in a generally understandable manner; contributions that map out and elaborate on scientific and public controversies; application-oriented, conceptual and content-related ideas and assistance, supporting scientists and practitioners.

Authors

More than 150 authors have published their articles in volume 1 (2007) to 15 (2021) of the Journal for Human Rights. They reflect the broad disciplinary spectrum of the Journal. It is of great concern to the Journal for Human Rights to keep the ratio of female and male authors featured in our issues at balance.
